Charles playing role of good teammate

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is working with the second team, but you won’t hear him complaining.

Charles, who ran for more than 1,000 yards last year despite not being the starter until the second half of the season, is taking a wait-and-see approach.

The Chiefs signed veteran running back Thomas Jones in the offseason, but most felt it was just insurance for Charles.

However, Charles has found himself as the team’s backup running back in training camp thus far.

He insists that he will be a good teammate, support Jones and the team’s decision and just continue to work hard.
